I have lived in Devon all my life, moving from North Devon to the Plymouth area at the age of 18 to study craft design at college and specialising in ceramics.
My love of the arts was probably acquired through my family. My older sister knitted all my childhood jumpers, my father in his spare time was accomplished in wood and metal work and my mother was a brilliant seamstress and cook. Oh and as if all of that wasn’t enough, my parents decided to design and build their own property.
I have always been creative and over the years have enjoyed using different mediums to express myself: whether creating greeting cards in different mediums, using cherished fabric to make small wall hangings and sewn items, or the challenge of designing and baking celebration cakes.
In recent years I have discovered the fun of specialising in polymer clay. This versatile medium has virtually unlimited possibilities and a wealth of techniques and effects to learn. I love that each piece I create is unique as it is impossible to create the same pattern twice.
